Tomorrow is Transfer Day

One of these little bits will be transferred back tomorrow!! I can't believe how fast this has gone. Hoping to get some sleep tonight....yea don't think that's gonna happen! Sorry for the same picture.. We won't have an update one until tomorrow. 

Progesterone shot today kinda stung :( still took it like a champ! 

We had to go to my moms to show her how to do the Shot because she is going to be my personal nurse this weekend! Jeremy gets a break ;) 

Pretty sure we freaked my mom out lol 

June 21st- Embryo Report

I don't think I can contain myself with all this excitement!! I got a call from the embryologist around 8:30AM with great news!! 

Embryos are in good to excellent quality!! 

Out of the 8 embryos 

4 are 8 cell

2 are 6 cell 

1 is 10 cell 

1 is 4 cell

On day three they want them to be between 6-10 cell

8 is ideal

June 19th- Progesterone Shot & Vivelle Patches

So I have been dreading this day for about 14days now! I knew it was coming and I even tried to get out! I have read about Progesterone injections hurting and seen pictures of the needles!! Wowzers! I got all worked up for nothing because it wasn't bad at all. I guess I have enough cushion on my BoBo! Lol 

June 19th-Day 14 Fertilization Report

June 18th- Egg Retrieval Day -Day 12

I couldn't really sleep the night before and I'm assuming it was because I was super excited about today! That or I was so uncomfortable!

We got to the clinic about an hr early so we just sat out in the trick and waited until it was time to go in. I can't believe today is finally here!!

I checked in and they got us back right away! 

I changed into my fancy medical gown and hair cap! Let me tell you I looked FANCY! 

See I told you! 

Off to the back I go! I remember them telling me to state my name and DOB and then Dr. Doody was telling me his steps and then I don't remember anything else. 

The next thing I know I am awake and they are talking to me and asking questions. I asked how it went and they said great! I started to feel a little pain so they gave me some pain meds. I was so sleepy. Jeremy came in to help me with my clothes and then to walk me back to meet the embryologist.   

She came back and told us they got 14 eggs!! Not going to lie I thought there would be more and I think she was thinking the same thing! But she said 10-12 is great and we got 14! 

Went home and I think the pain got worse :( I slept all day 

June 17th- Follow Up from Trigger/ Blood work and injection class

Today we had blood work to follow up from our trigger shot to see how it worked. Once that was done Nikki wanted to show us how to inject progesterone ...not gonna lie I'm scared of this one! :( the needle is huge and it because it has to get to the muscle. After our appt another trigger shot was due and we did our injection outside in the parking lot. Pretty sure if the police department came by they would think we are shooting up.. ;)

For the next 2 days we have NO SHOTS! I'm stoked a little break is needed today. 

What I didn't know was that I was going to need a little extra boost of HCG 

Nikki called and said I needed to get home ASAP and take 1 more shot. So I left work and got home and called her. The shot she was looking for was not included in my giant box of meds! So I had to go all the way back to Bedford at a recommended pharmacy to get the meds. After sitting there for an hr they said it would be $290!! Umm excuse me what did you say... Lol find out they didn't have my insurance. So we added it and it went down $200! Thank god for insurance! I was too scared to do the shot by myself so I went up to the clinic and had Nikki give it to me!! Like I said before this girl is amazing!! I didn't feel a thing! 

Tomorrow is egg retrieval WHAT WHAT! 

June 16th- Estradiol Blood Work/Sono

They keep wanting to poke me! Ouch! 

I gave blood and went straight into the sono room! Nikki our nurse is beyond amazing along with everyone else in that office! I decided to ask questions today instead of going with the flow. I wanted to know how much longer my injections would be . When was I going to be able to do my trigger shot? What were all the technical terms for all this mumbojumbo. 

Follicles is where the eggs are <--- yes I didn't know that. Please don't judge :) 

As she was scanning I said I sure hope that I will have egg retrieval this week. She said umm Yea you are definitely doing trigger shot tonight!!! Which means egg retrival WEDNESDAY! All I could do was smile! I have been waiting for this day since we started! We are a day ahead of our calendar which means we are closer to knowing baby news. The only ones who understand my excitement is jeremy and others that have gone through IVF to have a baby. I guess that's all that matter right?! We are beyond thrilled to complete our little family! Jeremy and I both started to cry when I called to tell him it's trigger day!

Trigger went great! No pain
